About Me
Born and raised in Torrington, Connecticut, I moved west to Southern California at a young age, for the warmer climes and to begin my artistic journey.
I studied fine art and traditional graphic design but as soon as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop was introduced in the 80s, I was hooked on computer graphics. I also learned the printing and pre-press trades which gave me a well-rounded, solid foundation for practical and efficient design. It also gave me the knowledge needed to create problem-free design files that print or display correctly.
In the 90s, I moved to Colorado to work for Publication Design, Inc., who were really an early pioneer in digital publishing and design. Some of our clients that I designed for included; Coors Brewing, Denver Broncos, Qwest Communications and CBS4. Besides refining my print design skills, I also branched into website and banner ad design.
Moving back closer to family, I relocated to Melbourne, FL, and worked for VX Corp., where as Senior Designer, I helped create international ad campaigns, refined product identity and assisted with marketing and planning.
I’ve now been working full-time as a freelance graphic designer for the past 2 years and have a home office in Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida. Merritt Island is near the Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach, and Port Canaveral which is one of the busiest cruise ship ports in the world. Port Canaveral also has some great restaurants and live music.
When I’m not designing at the computer, I enjoy mountain biking (the mountains are hard to find here though!), hiking, traveling, playing guitar, watching some football, kayaking and a good barbecue.
